Chaksam-pa and His Holiness the Dalai Lama present for Elementary School

Tashi Dalek! (In Tibetan, this means “Auspicious blessings upon you!”)

Chaksam-pa is the oldest Tibetan Dance and Opera Company operating in America. Chaksam-pa’s founding Artistic Director, Tsering Wangmo, comes from TIPA, the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts. TIPA, in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, India (Tibet’s capital-in-exile); was set up by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, to keep Tibetan performing arts alive.

Chaksam-pa performs the Good Luck Dance at Costrano Elementary School, Ravenswood City School Disctrict in California. The program includes his Holiness the Dalai Lama presenting his teachings, and some quotes and sayings from the Buddha.
